What is it about abortion that makes it wrong in the eyes of so many? The answer can be explained by the definition of murder. The definition of murder states that a person unlawfully kills another, usually with malice. With that being said a baby, from conception is a human being. So it is only logical to think that when you decide to take the life of a baby, even if it’s barely visible to the human eye, you are deciding to murder a person.
Life begins at the moment of conception, so the argument that a newly conceived human life doesn’t have the ability to feel doesn’t hold a lot of weight. Rather, a person should think of it as the baby doesn’t have a choice and by most standards in society when a person doesn’t have a choice, the act is usually considered wrong, especially if the action results in death. Would you take another human life just because you don’t want them around? Chances are the answer is no. So why would you kill your unborn child? Maybe you don’t want the baby or can’t take care of it, but there are plenty of people in the world who don’t even have the choice to conceive that would more than likely give your unborn child a loving home.
