I know that Hitler did not like Jews but I do not know why. I really don’t understand what his thought process was that made him want to kill Jews. Can anyone clear this up for me?

Hitler was known to have a passion for hating Jews from as early as when Germany lost World War One. He believed, and made others believe, that the Jews were at fault for this loss and for the pain that Germans suffered because of this. Although Hitler was actual Austrian, he believed German blood was pure and all other bloodlines, especially Jewish, should ultimately be destroyed. He believed that Germany should be only German, with no other blood line allowed to survive. That's why he want to kill all the Jews.

His hate for Jews came at an early age, beginning with his mother’s death. A Jewish doctor treated his mother but could not cure her illness. She died, leaving young Adolf Hitler blaming the Jewish doctor. Hitler seemed to have a chip on his shoulder when things did not go as he had planned. Unfortunately, for the Jewish people, most of his let-downs in life could be attributed to someone of Jewish culture. Schools and businesses that Adolf was turned down by all were Jewish. The Jewish religion, at that time, was already very large, and steadily growing in many areas of Europe, so it would be likely that any place that would have either accepted, or denied, him would have leaders and business owners who were Jewish. Again, this was unfortunate for the Jewish people, as World War Two would show.

There was much more to the killing of Jews than just religious and “pure blood” beliefs. The Jewish people were a growing sect. At the time Hitler was living, much private property and many businesses were owned by the Jewish people. Germans wished to acquire this high-end property. Before the Holocaust, Germans began removing the Jewish people, forcing them to be “bought out” at less than 10% of the worth of their assets. It soon was believed that if all the Jewish people did was move elsewhere, that once they were settled in, they would demand the rest of their value from the properties they were forced to sell. Hitler decided then that Jews must not just be relocated but actually die. He wanted them completely out of Germany and Austria. That's why Hitler kill Jews.

Why did Hitler kill Jews? No, Hitler did not kill Jews. He instructed people to do so and brainwashed many into believing it was the right thing to do. He was a very persuasive man. Such as different religious sects of Christianity had their “Holy Wars” to eliminate other “Christian” religions, so did Germany attempt to eliminate the Jewish religion and its people, as well as any Jewish allies. The German people were made to believe that they were superior. Even German people, with pure German blood, who were sympathetic to the Jewish people were killed during the Holocaust. A good book to read is a recent publication called “Hitler’s Willing Executioners: Ordinary Germans and the Holocaust” written by Daneil Goldhagen.
