ISIS does not hate the US, they just hate everything. If you read the news lately they have been really active in taking over Iraq and Syria. The US just happen to be placed in the spotlight as part of their propaganda, since you know, the US is seen as a strong opponent and the Middle East blaming them for their failing economy so more recruitment for ISIS from there. Anyway, why the seeming focus on the US? It’s probably a misplaced guilt, for something the government should really be guilty about. If there is anything to blame the most in the USA, then it would probably the Guantanamo Bay Detention Camp. Guantanamo Bay Detention Camp housed 780 people from the War on Terror, many of which is just suspects. Everyone there is subjected to torture and abuse, all in order to retrieve information in the hope that it can stop future terrorist attacks. Among the 780 prisoners, the top leader of the Al-Qaeda is also in the ranks, Khalid Sheik Mohammed believed to be the having the third highest power in the terrorist group.
Guantanamo Bay Detention camp ends up as a recruitment centre for the Al-Qaeda. Suspects that are initially not innocent forced to join the group, because of all the tortures and due to lack of options, since they are surrounded by Al-Qaeda members, coerced into joining the movement. Then the terror and abuse of the camp leak out outside, becoming a powerful propaganda tool to further recruit members, making the USA the enemy to their cause. However, at one point, the group split-up into two, with ISIS declaring independency from the mother group, starting off as a recruitment for members in Iraq and Syria. ISIS continues expanding its power, denouncing the Islamic State, to instead focus on their own more extreme version of religion. Then they start recruiting through Facebook, taking over Iraq and Syria, filling up the news lately with them, destroying historical sites and continue to remain relatively popular to young members. The hate of ISIS towards the USA is simply misplaces, stemming from the fact that the USA did ignite the propaganda with the tortures of Guantanamo Bay Detention Camp, coupled with the people idea that the USA is to blame for the current plight in the Middle East.
