I understand that the Earth’s surface will periodically change, as well as its weather patterns. Because of the changes in the sea’s depth, the coastline may change, but is that such a problem? It wouldn’t take place overnight, so people in effected areas would have time to move. Why is global warming bad? What makes global warming so bad?

Global warming isn’t that bad, unless you live on the coast. It will lead to several species going extinct, and others adapting. Global warming will permit humans to escape the usage of fossil fuels when they are becoming very scarce. It will also encourage us to make use of more effectual energy sources. It could even bring about international peace and even commence a new phase in the evolutionary process.

Any large environmental change would have both positive and negative consequences. However, the negative impacts global warming would have on health and agriculture would far overshadow any positives. For more information, check out this website:

Global warming is a complicated phenomenon, and its impacts are difficult to predict in advance. But every year, researchers are learning more about global warming and how it affects our planet, and many agree that there are likely to be consequences if current trends persist. Some of these include:

  • Glaciers melting, droughts and earlier snowmelt will lead to dramatic water deficiencies in the American West.
  • Rising ocean levels will cause coastal flooding on the Eastern shoreline, in Florida, and other regions, like the Gulf of Mexico.
  • Higher surface temperatures of the sea will cause more forceful hurricanes in the southeast Atlantic and Gulf coasts.
  • Woodlands, cities, and farms will be troubled with new pests and mosquito-borne illnesses.
  • Disturbance of environments like coral reefs and mountain pastures could cause many plants and animal species to go extinct.

Why is global warming bad? It would be fine. We would lose some land on the coastline, but we would gain even more habitable land. Also, global warming would mean recession of the deserts, warming weather and CO2 means higher quality food crops and additional farmland.
